In my point of view, your husband wants you to be everything he is not. He wants to be seen with you as having the perfect woman by his side. He knows he is not perfect, so he expects you to be. You are the image he is projecting for the world to see. But it is a lie, since he is not you. He needs to be seen for who he really is, as much as he might dislike himself. You shouldn't have to be perfect just to please him. No one is perfect.

I consider myself both goofy and dorky. If a guy can't handle that, then I won't change that aspect of myself to satisfy him.
