Not at all.

Sex is a basic need, especially for men.

It is as important as food, shelter and sleep.

Yes. Absolutely. A majority of psychologists in the West have been harping about sex like it's water.

I'm sure there are populations of people who would agree that sex is not a necessity like food is.

People are not all the same, and to say that sex is as essential as a basic need for breathing discounts the idea that self-fulfillment can be reached in other ways, and in a way, proves a social-cultural dominant value rather than an actual human need for survival. It's like saying people who live in celibacy are less human or aren't as happy because they aren't engaging in sensual pleasures.

People vary.

Maybe the notion that sex is essential is in agreement with social Darwanistic values of the survival of the fittest, which largely contrasts the philosophy based on evolution occurring as a result of survival of the pact rather than the individual.

Sex is a basic need for the healthy male psyche.

If not, then we would not have such a strong, intrinsic sex drive.

I believe the need is different for women.

Healthy in what way? Having sex doesn't make you a well adjusted person. Being a well adjusted person makes you a well adjusted person. I know some guys who have no problem getting laid but are pretty unmotivated and unremarkable in every other aspect of their lives. Before people jump too extremes and think that I'm saying that 50 year old virgins are more likely to have are superior or any other knee jerk responses, I'm not saying that at all but being able to get laid will not instantly solve any other problems or shortcomings one has.

Without sex, especially for a young male, the psyche gradually goes into auto-destruct mode.

It is a Darwinian necessity, programmed into the DNA, for the evolution of the species.

It cannot be beaten with righteousness, religion, moralising or piety of any sort.

You still haven't given an detailed explanation for you're stance. What is auto destruct mode?

OMG how do men survive before they have sex??!!! How do they make it through their single digit or early teen years???

How do they survive when they are having a dry spell? Why do any of them get married? Everyone knows its a one-way-ticket to no sex...

If you are so great without sex...........why do you masturbate so often? Obviously you have some kind of need.

By your thought process "wet dreams" will eventually be called sex.
I'm sorry it doesn't count.

He is saying there is no need for sex, the goes on to say he masturbates twice a day. His whole argument is that he does not need sex. Sorry, masturbating twice a day, while not sex, suggests a need for something. It kills his premise.
