Just curious. I've always been a t shirt and jeans kinda girl, even though I'm almost 30. I recently had a guy tell me that he wasn't too interested in me because of the way I dress. I wasn't offended since he wasn't my type, but I'm a plain jane. But I'm just curious as to what guys like.

I'd imagine it depends on the t-shirt and the jeans; how well-fitting/tailored they are.

The more feminine she dresses the better IMO and that doesn't need to be all made up. Not a jeans fan. I'm a sucker for a skirt/dress and a top showing a little Cleavage (but not alot, I like something left to the imagination), or a tight fitting top.
Also if you smell nice that can make a big difference.

I've seen attractive women in sweats, shorts, dresses, jeans, etc. Doesn't matter to me.

Baggy shirt and jeans? Graphic tee and skinny jeans? There are so many ways to be a tshirt and jeans girl. It makes a difference.

An attractive woman is going to be attractive no matter what she is wearing. Guys can see through the costume/uniform, or guys who aren't clueless can. Sure, certain things can catch my eye, but if she has it, I'm noticing, even if she's wearing a sweatshirt or overalls.

PS: This guy was an a-hole.

If you're a plain jane, that's the issue. This isn't meant offensively, so please don't take it as that, but a really hot woman can wear jeans and a T-shirt and attract a lot of attention. So it's really not a question of what to wear but how you look.

Yep I really do not see what is appealing about dresses, high heels and other feminine clothing/accessories that is considered to be attractive. Especially high heels since they must be painful to wear.

I am a T-shirt and shorts guy so it is logical I find casual wear more attractive. Definitely not normal for most men but then I am anything but "normal".

It depends, do you dress down.. even on occasions you shouldn't? That'd be really annoying to take a girl out to a nice place and have her show up looking like she's ready to paint a house. That being said, I don't put too much thought into it.

Don't worry about it, I am pretty sure somebody will find you attractive. Many guys don't like women try too hard. He's not your type like you said. Good luck
