So are you finding plenty of guys to date, but not any who want to settle down and make a commitment?
Word to the wise: Many men will TELL you they aren't ready to settle down, but what that really means is they don't want to settle down with you. Don't take it personally.
It's okay to be upfront about your goals, but don't be so upfront that you scare off guys who aren't as goal oriented as you are. Many people meet someone, THEN realize that they are ready to settle down. You are not on a deadline, so focus on finding nice guys that you can have fun with, then let the desire for commitment happen naturally.
I might've posted this before, but I remember when I was 35 and some older woman, maybe around 50?, asked me my age and I told her. And she said, "Oh, you're still a baby." lol And, while I knew I wasn't a baby and was a fully formed, responsible, functioning adult, I knew exactly what she meant. The 30s are NOTHING. You're just barely out of your 20s, obviously. lol
I hear it over and over again how the 40s and 50s were the best decades for some people. It can be after that, too, depending on your health, etc. But, come on, the 30s and it's over? That's crazy talk. What a waste of a life.
I can only think that these types must have been reincarnated from the 1500s, and while they may have a new physical body, they didn't get any new characteristics.

These azzhats here talking about a woman's shelf life ending at 30 are clearly just a bunch of pansies that have had their wittle hearts broken and are lashing out at momma...
I mean come on... jeezus, give me a break already........
I've had my heart kicked in too... get over it.... ....LOL....

my personal life has nothing to do with this thread.....
Sure it does. If a man is divorced (ie: has a failed marriage), should he be giving advice to other men on how to build a successful marriage?
This would be akin to a person without a successful business giving business advice. If they are unsuccessful themselves, should they really be giving advice to people?

It is statistically more difficult for a woman to get pregnant after she hits 30 (exponentially so after age 35). Point blank.
If "men that are husband/father material" want to marry someone at this age and take a risk, then they should be prepared for the possibility that it ain't happening.

Never married, been with the same woman 23 yrs now... what does that say about me??? It says a lot as far as I'm concerned... it means I come home to the same woman because I want to.. not cause of some antiquated outdated bullshyt foundation such as marriage... no offense to those who partake.. just sayin...
So does that give me any credence to speak on a given subject such as monogamy, I would think so....... cause I've never cheated on said spouse..

You think a divorced man can't give good relationship advice? He sure as hell can if he has the self awareness to know what he did wrong in the marriage and has changed that behavior. You shouldn't be so quick to dismiss people.

Absolutely it gives you credence, Chow. You're a solid guy with a lot of great life experience and sound advice.

Fair enough. 23 years is a long time though (I was barely alive when you got into that relationship).
So it's possible that you may be out of touch with the current dating scene.
No offense....just sayin'.
