These are not hobbies, these would be what some addicts are.

Anything illegal or immoral or done obsessively or in excess. If it's just something I don't happen to find interesting, that's fine.

This is a good thread.

If you were into late night rock and roll, motorcycles and tattoos, you might not mesh very well with a yoga practicing, vegan, birder.

They're not mutually exclusive hobbies but they are indicative of how an individual prefers to spend his or her time.

Lifelong racing sailor, Train most weekends throughout the winter, snow rain no matter untill the water freezes. Spend at least 2 weekends a month racing in the season with travel all around europe. Low budget, sleepng onsite in a tent, taking ridesharers to pay my fuel, buy everything in my life secondhand but keep good sails...

Oh and I rock climb whan I can, and like to bike a bit and go to the gym.

Long Term Relationships- don`t really care anymore. If it works cool if not no big deal.

Married twice once for 8 years ending in divorce and once for 6 weeks ending in death.

I only person I will compromise my life for is my daughter.

Seems to work out best with someone who has a passionate hobby too, at best shared but I have found it works with horse women for example- they need a lot of time for their horses and I need my time so both parties kind of understand and if you only see each other now and then it's okay they have enough going on so no need to be fixated on a partner.

I don't hunt (but conservation is my field, and hunters are the biggest environmental conservation group in the country), but it is interesting hunting is so common. I hope none of these people eat meat and are also against fishing.

ANY hobby which takes excessive time or travel is a real problem for me. I have had a couple where this is the case, including my current one, although we are working through it.

Religion is one hobby that is a definite no-no for me. Hanging out with kids is a definite deal breaker.

I just grabbed yours because it's the last one that mentioned hunting. I guess I never really saw it as a hobby as growing up, hunting provided a large portion of our meat during the winter. Tubed ground beef gets old after awhile...

I don't know if I can name any hobbies that would be definite deal breakers. However, not having any hobbies at all is definitely a deal breaker for me.

How can anyone not have any hobbies? unless they're couch potatoes letting life pass them by
