Aw Mom
You’re prolonging the inevitable
So you’re avoiding telling him because you don’t want him to be upset with you and lose his trust? Can you really live with lying to your kid like that?
I’m going to assume that you’re not really a soulless being.
Most people say stay out of it, but if I found out my spouse was cheating and my friends and family knew, I would feel betrayed by everyone.

If I was being cheated on, I'd want to know, regardless of whether the informant was my mother, a complete stranger, or something in-between.
If I were in your shoes, I would tell my son what I know. I would present him with the proof that I have. I would explain that I have known for five years, but haven't shared until now because my conscience was struggling with knowing the right thing to do (whether to meddle or not). Maybe he already knows and doesn't care; maybe he has no clue. Maybe the information/proof that I have is false/incomplete. But telling him puts him in a position where he can at least make an informed decision. After that, I'd stay out of it.
It sounds like you have decided to keep mum, though. To each her own.
If I were in your son's shoes, I would be very upset if my mother had this evidence for years, and never made an effort to tell me.
