Of course I wouldn't kill anyone because of their beliefs, no matter how crazy I personally find those beliefs to be.

I do find it nice how the God of the OT has mellowed out over the years. He didn't put up with any crap back then.

Same here. I always try to avoid killing anything, unless I am threatened (and how often does that happen?) When I used to be a Christian, there was a married couple who sat on the front row at every service and the husband would really get "into it" during worship. Eventually he killed his wife, telling the police that God had ordered him to do so.

Since my religious beliefs are about accepting everyone, and loving everyone, then yeah, I'd die for that if it was widely accepted by the rest of humanity. It would be a glorious death that would cause world peace.

Of course, this will never happen, at least not in my lifetime.

If I was in a situation where I or others were in danger of being killed for proclaiming the Word of God, as a majority of those who established the Church were, then I would want to die without resistance.

So I think I would.

I wouldn't fight by shooting back, but I would evade and frustrate those who threaten me.

Consider that this was a time when God spoke to many of them, appeared to some, and performed miracles often before many. Some who demanded proof, received as such before their very eyes.

Today though, it is not the same. Interaction with God is on a level of faith and if one were to come proclaiming such things, they would be seen for the falseness they are. The last statements and commandments given by God do not support such rallies of battle as described above and the one that does support its call comes with the clarity and truth that will not be denied by even non-believers when it comes to pass.

Any such call today as described above is from man, not from God.
