Don't worry he'll come back with a new handle soon. I thought only members could post?
He could have become "not a member" only within the past few hours. If you wait a few days and then "find all posts by" you can see that the posts stop suddenly, or not. If not, then he typed in his own status as "not a member".

That's not how the forums work. Look at your own custom status, it's separate from your Senior Member status.
That account is done, kaput, finished, sleepin' with the fishies, long walk off a short pier, etc.
Hm! Has anyone else noticed that the OP is now "Not a member?"
No, he's still a member. Some posters use "Not a Member" as their tag line. I dont understand why but it appears to be an ego issue.
You can tell if a poster is really "not a member" by checking to see if the scales icon for repping that person is there. If so, that person is still a member.

According to a moderator posting in the "About the Forum" forum, the presence or absence of the scales icon is not a litmus test. This moderator wrote that whether the icon disappears or not depends on the specific technique which was used to ban the poster. I wish I could remember who the moderator was - it could even have been Marka, one of the senior mods. If I weren't so lazy I would try to find that post.

Thanks for the info.
I do think, however, that the method of banning should be consistent so that the scales icon disappears when someone becomes "not a member". I tried repping the OP as a test and, although I didnt follow through, I would have been able to do so. That doesnt seem right if he's been banned.

Ah, I found the post in spite of myself: It is post #952 in the "City-Data Pet Peeves" thread in the "About the Forum" forum. That thread is currently on page 2. City-Data Pet Peeves
There is some discussion of this issue which started on the page previous to the post I cited.

Interesting.
I doubt this particular poster is cunning enough to mask him/herself as a banned member so I'm pretty sure it's legit this time.
