I left reference books that I would never need again. I never took anything home with me, there was no need. Went to plenty of seminars and trade shows that gave things away.

No. Actually left some of my stuff behind 'cuz I could only stuff so much into my wheeled bag that last day. Wouldn't think to even take the gov't pens. Often times those pens never worked right. I was better off buying a few of my own. I had bought my fave mechanical pencils as well. I liked them better than the ones I'd get at work.

Ah, all in the heat of battle. If you feel bad about it that proves you have a decent moral structure. Just learn from it and next time figure out other ways to get back at your Boss. The best way is just to live well and be happy because he or she probably is not.

Church school they taught us the Ten Commandments and one of those was "thou should not steal". Heck, if I can remember which # of the ten though.

Nah, there was never anything worth stealing. I'm sure that was entirely intentional.

I worked for Pacific Telesis > PacTel Cellular > AirTouch Cellular > Verizon Wireless for 25 years. I never worked a 40 hour work week in my life.

I didn't need to pilfer anything at the end

Confession is good for the soul, Vega. You are forgiven, go forth and never do it again. (I'm out of Holy Water, so have a beer and call it good)

The only thing I want to take with me from my place of employment when I retire is my memories and my pension.
