nice pic's there "bigfaturkey" where did you stand to take the one down the waterway in downtown??? I am new to Providence and dying to get downtown to shoot some pic's....nervous as I don't know my way around.

hey..don't be nervous. that was my first time in providence too!

i couldn't really remember...but it was prob taken on one of the bridges across the providence river. perhaps somewhere near intersection of memorial blvd & washington street. sorry...can't recal exact location. but you need only to walk around..and you'd find plenty of great spots for photography. have fun exploring downtown

are you using a point and shoot camera or a DSLR??? I drove thru some areas with really old architecture and narrow narrow streets and want to get back in that section.

hmmmm...more PnS i guess. it's a prosumer cam. i added on some 3rd party lens.

interesting...I am gonna do some more research on this camera!!! I shoot with a Nikon D70s and a D80...slowly working my way up to better camera bodies...spending my money on lens right now!!

in case you wanna know..i'm using panasonic lumix FZ50. nothing fancy...a little too bulky for a non-DSLR...but i like it!

oh thank you for the type of camera....I am trying to find out if this type of camera has a RAW format mode for shooting. I use Nikons and love them but my D70s with the 80-200mm is not only big but heavy with that huge hunk of glass. The sharpness and clarity of the photos are worth it!!

found it and yes these cameras do have a RAW format! sweet. they look like really nice cameras! look forward to you posting more pic's!
