any pictures yet of this years first snow? Also, we traveled across the IWAY bridge with the snow falling. the lighting made the falling snow look magical!
I posted this in the MA thread, but thought it was cool enough (and relative enough) to post here too. This is a photo I took last week from Fall River's Highland's neighborhood. You can actually get a nice view of the Providence Skyline from here (to get a better look, click the bar to view full size). Many people don't realize just how far away the Prov. skyline is visible from.
Yes, I can see it when I'm swimming in the West Bay in Jamestown, as from the top of the Jas bridge. Anyway, nice pic- Fall River is so nicely situated.

Cool, I never knew you could see it from there. Fall River is nicely situated, I grew up just north of there (Assonet) and spent a lot of time in F.R. It has some things going for it (location as you mentioned, the Highlands, Battleship, good eats, etc) but it's certainly a "down on its luck" town.
A few photos of the Blackstone neighborhood, Providence East Side
I took a walk in late October and just now got around to posting these. Thought someone might be interested in seeing some houses in the Blackstone neighborhood of the East Side.
Great pics, Hollytree. It's easy for us "downstaters" to forget the beautiful neighborhoods Providence has.
