That has always been a rough section of the East Side of Providence. But from what I understand, the area of Mt. Hope going towards Hope St. has become significantly more desirable over the years. Would you say that's accurate, redplum?

Most of Mt Hope is not desirable in my opinion. It gets better east of Ivy Street.
Nearby Hope/Summit is fine near Hope Street. This is Rochambeau Ave and north of it.

This happened near the corner of North Bend St. and Spring St. (Quality Hill Historic District). Police responded to the area after a report of shots fired, where they found the girl had been shot in the leg. They said the girl was "not involved in the disturbance" (random attack).
