Exclamation 3 more shootings reported in Providence

BREAKING: Shooting on Broad Street Saturday Morning - 5th Shooting in Providence in 36 Hours

https://www.golocalprov.com/news/bre...ng-in-36-hours

In addition to the two shootings on Thursday night:

  • A man was shot outside AJ's Sports Bar and Grill, at the corner of Academy Ave. and Chalkstone in Mt. Pleasant. An argument began inside the bar, that resulted in a fight outside where the victim was shot.

  • After 11pm last night, another man was shot on Bellevue Ave. in the West End. Not sure where on the exact location, but Bellevue is one block over from Hanover St. where Thursday night's shooting occurred.

  • And early this morning, a man was shot on the notorious 300 block of Broad St. (McDonald's, Dunkin Donuts, Fernandez Liquors, etc.).

No other information, besides the first two victims were taken to Rhode Island Hospital. Will be updated as more becomes available.

Man has died of the Broad St. shooting. That would be the city's 19th homicide of the year.

It happened around 9am, inside Roque's Cafe (337 Broad St.). Victim was a 38-year-old man.

Probably of little interest to Elorza, but here are the 19 homicides this year so far. Please note how homicides in Providence, are not evenly distributed. Those of you unfamiliar with the city and inquiring on where is safe to visit and where isn't, a good rule of thumb is to avoid ANY of those areas with the red markers. I can assure you those are all problem parts of town.
