Have to look up Season 52. Never heard of it.Years ago the Joe's Crab Shack at the Quarry was really good, then it went down hill. Still miss the two story Borders Book Store that was there. Don't go over to the Quarry any more.

We went to the opening and it was very good. Think J. Alexanders, but all menu options are under 600 calories minus sides.

Longtime San Antonio restaurants and bars we lost for good in 2023:

Dairy Queen on Zarzamora

It's not often that folks mourn the closure of a chain restaurant location, but it becomes a more emotional affair when that business was a neighborhood staple for decades. The Dairy Queen (formerly located at 9222 S. Zarzamora) stood as a fixture in one of the city's oft-overlooked areas for 45 years before serving its last round of Blizzards and Hungr-Busters in March 2023.
This one hit hard for me. I used to have lunch here during my lunch hour and for a long time the building was still the older architecture where the front had shaded car parking which was removed and the resturant was remodeled for the last few years before its closing.

Now the building is going through another remodel but no clue what it will open up as.

Seasons is a Darden property (Olive Garden, Bahama Breeze, Cheddar's, LongHorn Steak, etc). It's got the genetics of a chain, but they do a pretty good job at justifying their higher prices.

They thankfully fully tore down the old Joe's Crab Shack building and started from scratch for this location.

It's a taco/burger place. Why they expect people to make reservations?
