Also there is a new japanese place on FM 78 in Schertz, called Q Sushi Grill, and the new Las Pinchancas on Main Street here is also opened. If I don't go to lunch there today, may go tomorrow.
The place they’re building in Schertz is called Slims Chicken. Already one in Helotes I believe. They are a national chain.

Thanks for the update on Slim's Chicken, like we don't already have enough chicken places out here. Wouldn't mind a Red Lobster. Oh by the way, what are they building right on top of the Longhorn Steakhouse ,which is next to Olive Garden and the new Ikea? Saw a banner they are now hiring. Looks like they do burgers, etc.
Have eaten at Las Pinchanchas in Schertz, the new mexican place on Main Street. They give you melted cheese to dip your tortilla chips in. The orange colored sauce is some kind of pepper and it is hot!, at least to me it is.Had the gorditas plate. The gorditas weren't heavy or real thick like you get at some places. I can walk there from my house. Need to try the Purple Pig BBQ next, also on Main Street next to Bar House and Schertz Bank and Trust.

I managed to eat at this location for dinner last week. It is no frills fast food kind of place. Reminded me of the old San Pedro location but just newer looking over all. No inside dining available, just outdoor tables only with a drive through.

I still get a kick if of the name change from “Artisan’s Alley” to “The Alley.” Why they added that wine bar spot is beyond me. It’s been several different places over the years and I still miss Apple Annie’s, although the bread Basket isn’t a horrible alternative.

This is the one I'm most looking forward to.

Seafood/Med Italian has been lacking in SA.
