It's been a long while since it's been this cold at night.

Yes, it's chilly, but 20s? Not if you live by the coast. The airport only dropped to 42 last night.

You guys can handle it, it only happens once in a while, you could always live here, it's 4 degrees right now.

No thanks, anything below 75 and sunny is cold to me.

Yeah but if you live in an old house like mine where we've scoffed at such things as insulation (none here), double pane, air tight windows- nope! Or an efficient forced air furnace- ya gotta be kidding- 85 y.o. gravity floor furnace chugging away. We just aren't set up for it like you guys.

Plus, the only cold weather clothes I have are to go snow boarding. It looks kind of silly to be walking around town in powder pants and a shell haha.

My cottage is not insulated and it's drafty. I use a space heater when I'm at the computer, and I sleep underneath an electric blanket. When I watch TV, I cover myself up with a flannel throw, and I have two heater cats.

It's pretty cold but we still ate dinner outside under the patio heater last night enjoying the sunset over Coronado.

A few years back replaced all the windows and the furnace, always toasty inside. Those cheap aluminum track windows and in-wall space heaters that are so typical of San Diego slapdash construction just don't cut it.

We actually sat outside last night by the outdoor fireplace. A glass of wine and a warm jacket and it we were quite toasty. Beautiful, clear, crisp night! And the owls were criss-crossing across the property.
