Oh, that would probably be a 1/2 day boat and you'd be fishing local kelp for rockfish, bass and maybe some yellows or bonito. A smaller, faster boat would get you some better range like the Coronados.

Well that would be fun. I'll keep that in mind, might be worth the extra cost.

It would. Even with a fast boat you are looking at 3 hours cruise time just to get to and from decent fishing.
