Shuffling feet is boring and deters me from having fun on my body board......" Ooops I fell off, will my hand hit a stingray....not fun".

Anyone know a good pool in the Encinitas Area ? Is there such a thing as a paid membership to a swim club ?

Any resorts you can sneak into or pay day rates like the Omni Spa ?
Don't throw in the towel just yet, CNYC. Although I've never been stuck, I know people who have and none of them have stopped going into the water. It's just part of the ocean going experience.

Oh man, reading through the old posts gave me flashbacks of last summer. I'm hoping for a repeat.....Humidity and all! 80 degree water temps with waves? Yes, please.

I wonder what would be the quickest? Waiting that amount of time would be brutal.

It's as good as time as ever to revive this thread. Water temps at Mission and Solana are 71 and 70 degrees right now.

The bummer is that they issued a Shark Advisory today at Del Mar after a great white shark sighting. Boo

I hiked and bodysurfed at Torrey Pines after work yesterday- the water is great! Not as freakishly warm as last year, but about average for July at 72 degrees. Looking forward to the next couple of months in the ocean

Just a heads up....as I was landing my kayak at La Jolla yesterday, I saw a lot of stingrays. I had to dodge one as I jumped out of the kayak into the surf. Shuffle your feet.

Yesterdays water temp-73.5 degrees.
Catch of the day-huge sheephead
