Washington was been seeing the perfect weather as of late. I just like the cold and sunny it is the dark and rain that makes me feel EMO LOL.

When everyone says it is to cold out I just laugh . Go visit Alaska in the winter time I got family up there and last time I was up there it was in the negative 3 out. Also a few years ago they got 12 feet of snow in three months during the winter.

I'm with you on this. This is my first winter up here and I can't imagine having a better winter in any northern state. I know it's not like this every winter. If it was there would be twice the population.

Boy, that's an understatement!

Last night, when I went to bed, it was 29 degrees and there was snow on the ground. This morning, when I got up, I did what I do the first thing every morning - I looked out my bedroom window and it was like POOF! the snow had disappeared over night! Nothing! Nada!

I checked the temperature when I let the dogs out and it is about 38 degrees right now with just a few patches of snow here and there - and I don't expect them to last long.

That was sure a quick transition!

There was no snow here at 4 pm yesterday, only some slush on the sidewalks, nothing on the road. It was 38 at night, and it is 41 now.

It might be a little wishful thinking on my part, but it seems almost "spring-like" out there.

Not the temperature necessarily (it's about 42 degrees), but I'm starting to hear more birds and things seem to be "greening" up a little.

I sure hope we're past the freezing temperatures - my son is getting tired of fixing my broken pipes.

As much as people complain about Seattle's rain and gray, at least we aren't getting those blizzards that the rest of the country seems to be getting and at least we don't have harsh winters like the Midwest

Hmmmm.....I'm seeing the "s-word" showing up in some forecasts.

Accuweather has me getting a snow/rain mix this evening.

Got snow?

I do. Not a lot - enough to cover the ground and enough that the snow plow going by on the highway down below me woke me up sometime during the night; not enough that it interfered with school starting on time.

I don't expect it to stick around for long; it's about 31 degrees right now and already pretty drippy off the roof of the house.

But holy crap! I've had so much rain! I was in town yesterday and was running into a store, trying to not get too wet, and struck up a conversation with a guy doing the same thing and he said the Chehalis River was above its bank (didn't see it for myself; that's just what I was told).

I have a lot of springs on the hillside behind me and a couple of them were literally shooting out of the side of the hill - like a fountain - yesterday and the day before.

They're predicting better weather ahead; I hope it's true.
