Yeah, question remains if it will still be available when I get to Seattle on Thursday. I have over a dozen showings to attend to on Fri and Sat. Plus, I wanna get an idea of a variety of apt complexes so that I can make a good all around decision, from whats available and have hands on experience of viewing and seeing multiple places so I determine what I like and don't.

Just wondering how the OP's apt. search went this weekend. It's about time for an update.

Lol, man, it was an INTENSE 4 days this past weekend. Thank God for smartphones and GPS navigation or I probably woulda killed myself zipping all over Seattle trying to meet deadlines for apartment showings. I simply coudln't believe how fast the rental market moves in Seattle, it makes Montana's rental market look like molasses on a cold day with a bad attitude. I had 3 apartment complex I had showing times for rent their 1 bedrooms under from me.

I was really struggling to find the right, safe neighborhood that had close bus access so could get to the UW but also have a grocer store at least within a short driving distance and maybe even WalGreens for my medication. I was down to two option late Friday, a budget and more basic place and a more "luxury" and treating myself to my hard work, long waiting and patience with finding work in Seattle. Both had pro's and con's I struggled with and I was so exhausted I had to take a nap at my hotel in Bellevue before I could even think. God almighty, that 520 toll bridge is insanely expensive, whata freaking joke, I went up through Bothell or down through I-90 and up I-5 to avoid it while looking at places.

After talking with my family and friends for support and advise, I decided to make this my new home in Seattle and will be moving in next week. Still hard to believe this is happening, its like a dream....

Best of luck in your new job and with your new home! I think you'll like the area - two of my friends just moved there and they like it a lot.
It's been fun reading your posts!

How funny! That was exactly the apartment I was thinking when I was rec'ing Lake City. My friend used to live there and thoroughly enjoyed it.
