Arsenal totally outplayed Marseille tonight, only scored the 1 though! Ramsey in the 92nd minute, well deserved though.

I agree, well deserved...Arsenal now top of the group.

I was watching the replay and Marseille's second half approach to the game was rather puzzling. They played as if they'd be perfectly happy just to get a point..even though they were the home team and still have to play at the Emirates..

Heck, maybe Marseille just isn't that good. Anyway, notice the way all 3 second half substitutions figured in the goal. Arsene still knows..

City with 70% possession away in the Champions League, won 3-0 could have been more but they barely left 1st gear Villarreal made it easy for them. Huge match in 3 weeks away to Napoli in Naples, what an intimidating atmosphere it is there! Should be good.

A complete mismatch. Money and greed are sucking the life out of football. With very few exceptions it will be the same teams that get through to the latter stages as in previous years. Boring, boring boring. Nowadays, the CL only gets interesting at the quarter final stages and later.

If the 'lesser' teams come out and play football then they will finish on the end of a thrashing. They have to put the shutters up against the good teams and hope to get points of the poorer teams in the group.

Well I have enjoyed the group stages teams like Napoli, Valencia, Dortmund, Leverkusen, Ajax, CSKA, Benfica, Shacktar, Porto and even APOEL, BATE, Lille and Galati have entertained me and played great football.

Galati played very well against United. 2-0 but it could easily have been a tie.

Rooney was great last night in central midfield...great passing and intelligent ball movement. However, i still prefer him as a striker along with Hernandez. He's more dangerous there and the combination is what makes United extremely potent. I think the absence of Ashley Young has really hurt united the last few games. Making Rooney play further back and thus sort of dissolving that combo. I'd rather have the Rooney/Hernandez strike partnership and use someone else for midfield..this combo and Rooney's striking ability are too precious to waste in midfield. I'd like to hear what others have to say on this...
