ah. the old jab about rail service, that NO ONE RIDES. congrats on wasting away $700 million dollars for a train that hardly anyone rides. Houston chose to invest its money in things that people use. like the actual airports and parking garages at the airports to make the "parking situation" and the airports themselves better. so you would really rather pay $7-$9 a night to park your car at some sketchy unsecured park & ride instead of in a covered parking garage at the airport? instead of having to wait for a train and catch the slow ride into town you can be at your car in a matter of minutes and be on your way home.
all of this is Blah,Blah,Blah,....its what YOU tell yourself so your feelings wont be as hurt as they would be...its a pouty excuse for envying our transit progression.

just as there was "nothing wrong with Hobby" before the international expansion, since the majority of Houstonians prefer Hobby to Bush.. you're telling me if Love could go international you wouldn't be for it?

the renovation of Buffalo Bayou Park continues to attract high end residential, even amidst the "oil downturn"..

Bayou redo lures luxe development - Houston Chronicle

Quote:
The restoration of Buffalo Bayou between downtown and River Oaks has attracted another builder to the area who has plans to develop high-end condominiums costing more than $1 million.

...

"With the completion of the park, it's going to be a huge amenity," Sims said of the improvements being made along Buffalo Bayou.

Future developments for this area include Regent Square, which has been designed as a multiblock mix of housing, offices, shops and entertainment venues.

Why do we need two international airport's?......DFW is all we need. To me it would only cause confusion and unnecessary competition...hence the reason for the Wright amendment when DFW was built.

That would be going back to square one.

the same reason that you believe having two large cities in the same metro apparently benefits DFW..? its funny how you argue that all the individual jurisdictions of DFW supposably make for a more unique place and cause positive competition, but now you spin it the complete opposite way to try and make yourself feel better about the fact that Love can't go international. maybe the multiple jurisdictions in DFW cause confusion to people who think they are in "Dallas", and unnecessary competition amongst each other, sucking some of the amenities and developments from Dallas.. eh?

Just for the record..."I"....did not give Dallas and Ft.Worth "PERMISSION" to grow together...They did so because they had to....The same as Galveston and Houston. If you do some research about the Wright amendment... it'll explain all the other riff raff that you spew.

Omg.....just give up son.
