I got creative. I brought chenille pipe cleaners and we made a zoo full of monsters. I brought new Matchbox cars for him to open and play with. I brought a package of foam shapes from the craft store as well which also kept him occupied for an hour or so. Then we used the pipe cleaners and shapes to make a town for the cars to drive through. I spent the entire trip occupying him. That was my job. Not the job of those around me, not the job of the flight attendants, my job.
That's not at all what I'm saying. If a child has pent up energy, they want to MOVE. Not sit in a seat and twist pipe cleaners. All the entertaining toys in the world won't occupy a child who desperately wants to move.

Then you WALK them around the galley area as long as it isn't meal time.
Most long haul carriers will book parents with younger kids in the bulkheads so there is room at your feet for the kid to be on the floor playing as an FYI. It also alleviates the seat kicking problem.

As far as I'm concerned, anyone who flies Southwest should expect a ton of kids. I flew them once or twice and hated the whole cattle cal check in 24 hours game. No thanks.

well no kidding. do you really think a mom of 8 can put her kids on a Delta 1st class flight across the country? Maybe family is more important to her??
You are a prime example of the problem. Your kids can do no wrong, and the rest of the world needs to deal with it.
I have not mentioned, AT ALL, my parenting style. You are drawing conclusions and I do wonder which of my posts prove me an irresponsible parent or a parent with obnoxious children.
