I liked the thought of college kids at DuPaul or Loyola spending their weekends and nights with their new gangbanger friends down on the south side.

That would be like....the absolute last thing I could imagine. I bet 99% of the college kids in the city wouldn't even know how to find west/south side neighborhoods or have any idea what goes on there.

Which is part of the dirty cycle that keeps itself going. Everyone stays in their bubble. Especially those two groups which are such extremes.

Denver: 7
Las Vegas: 31 in Metro Jurisdiction which covers 1.5 million of the 2 million residents of Clark County: North Las Vegas, Mesquite and Henderson have own departments
Oklahoma City: 14
Birmingham: 18
Santa Maria: 6
St. Louis: 21

A city that is not talked about a lot on here with major homicide issues...

Or raise them in nice cities far away from scums, savages, thugs gang banger etc...

That's a lot for Las Vegas but Birmingham is off the hook... St Louis keep living its expectation of a murder ridden city

What are the odds of being next to a drug dealer, murderer, gangster in let say Chicago than it is in let say... Portland Oregon...?
