Agreed, but I do think she has the kind of voice, like Bonnie Raitt where she has lots of potential.
But Bonnie Raitt wouldnt have sung that song. Elise has made some poor song choices. In fact, I think her only wise choice was last week. The songs she's picking not only dont show off the best range of her voice but she also doesnt/cant hit many of the notes in them.
P2 is awesome, as always. This guy knows who he is and what songs he should sing. There are certainly songs that wouldnt sound right if he sang them but you wont ever hear him doing any of them -- unless he re-arranges them to suit his style. He deserve to win this competition.
Another duet -- this one by DeAndre and Hollie. OMG. Put DeAndre (and me) out of his misery tomorrow...please. I'm so distracted by his performance that I cant even tell how Hollie is doing.
What's up with JLo pimping Deandre? Sorry to word it that way but that's as close to the truth as I see it. Last week she told everyone to vote for him and this week she says he really stood out among the other competitors (after P2 out-performed him). She had some unkind words for P2, which I found strange since she never has honest criticism for anyone.
Joshua's singing a song that's suited perfectly to his voice and style. But, oh, that jacket! Sorry to be so shallow, but it's hard to concentrate on his performance when that jacket is out there, screaming louder than Joshua is. But he does show off his great range nicely tonight. I just wish he had a different style, as there's no way he can win. Of course, he doesnt need to win to get a good record deal.
