I don't get how lots of people like Jess. She's too overrated. Hollie is more relaxed, and more listenable. I hope I could marry her someday. hahaha. I'm still going for Skylar, the southern beauty. Skylar did great. She rushed part of the first song and slowed down during the rest. On the second song, Skylar sang it slow and smooth. Brilliant. Hope Skylar and Hollie doesn't get thrown under the bus again.
P2 has got to go. I am getting sick of his same, boring copy and paste performances. Then Joshua has to go. I can't stand his irritating voice.
But it's okay for you to copy and paste your posts!!!!!
I tire of some of the comments on here that seem so critical and picking the contestants apart for the sport of it . I'd love to see some of you at this age, in this situation, being picked apart by folks who think they're "" don't stink . Let's see how you looked and acted at this age in your life ???
Joshua is a young man. If I recall he's the baby of a large family and appears to be very shy and humble (imo). P2 is different from him and maybe Joshua doesn't quite get his humor or feels uncomfortable with his antics on stage. No need to pick him apart and call him gay. Maybe he is and maybe he isn't. Really nobodies' business but his own .
Maybe some of you can think a bit more before spouting out your mean comments ! Just a thought........

I think this should be one of her next songs: http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=82dDnv9zeLs&ob=av2e
I didn't think Joshua looked homophobic at all. Those guys are friends and we've seen P2 goofin' around like that all season. They all live in the house together and give each other a hard time. It was just fun. No sense reading too much into little bits you see on the show like that.
Hollie was amazing. GREAT song choice for her. I'm happy to see her steppin' it up.
I also though Jess did a great job. She was having some fun up there and that's a tough song. Proud Mary is really a high energy rockem sockem Tina Turner song. Good for her for giving it a shot. I enjoyed watching her.
Joshua has grown into his style and I think he's got a great future. He has come a long way and I like his voice.
So does P2 -- he's got a distinctive and unique and marketable voice. Whether you like his style or type of music or not, I'm positive he will be recording records immediately. Those producers are salivating at getting this guy out there. He's got a great sense of humor. He's easy to watch on stage, the ladies love him, and he's quirky. That sells (can you say Lady Gaga?)
He reminds me of Leo Kottke who has a very distinct guitar style and slightly weird voice
Kottke has been touring and making records for more than 40 years. He's well known in several genres for working with other singers and guitar pickers. Kottke, Joe Cocker, Mick Jagger, Jimmy Hendrix, Louis Armstrong, Israel Kamakawiwo'ole, and many others have made it in the music industry because they AREN'T cookie cutter mainstream boring voices. A guy like P2 will make it very far. I just hope he doesn't lose his sense of humor and goofiness. That's his charm!
HDL, this is a message board. No one here (hopefully) is posting "mean" things on twitter or their facebook pages. I admire all of these kids, but no one is getting hurt by some people commenting on Citi-data. I doubt these singers come to this site.
Gimme it, you personally know that none of the contestants read City Data HOW???? And yes it's a anonymous message board where people are free to spout their nonsense and I am free to ask some folks to THINK first before they post . Though I doubt I will change more than one person's mind on here, it's worth the effort anyways !

I hope Hollie wins the whole thing, each week she keeps getting better and better
P2 was a disaster, he wrecked 2 classic 60's songs
Joshua IMO wasnt too good on the Temptations song but...
he killed the Bee Gees song, To Love Somebody
He sounded like Otis Redding would have singing it.
Which is kinda weird as Barry Gibb mentioned on a PBS Special
he wrote it in 1967 with Otis Redding in mind but Otis died before
he could record it.
Skylar, I like in Reba sorta way but she yells too much,
Fortunate Sun is classic CCR song but IMO she didn't sing it well
As for Jessica, Proud Mary wasn't a good choice for , again another CCR son,
the Ike & Tina "covered" and it became "their" song
She handled the Joe Cocker song better but she ain't no Cocker
I felt the opposite as Jimmy did about Hollie last night - I thought she excelled on the second cover and not so hot with her first. Unfortunately, even though I like Philip, I agree with Jimmy that he should be in bottom two based on performances from last night (along with Hollie).
