I saw Bachelor Father for the first time (that I can remember anyway) last weekend on AntennaTV. Was John Forsythe a handsome devil back then or what??
I'd forgotten about that one. But in response to your question, YES!
do we remember the variety show " The Hudson brothers.
hey margoooooooooooooolis
I sure do, one of my favorites, but this was circa 1974. They were all good looking. Bill, Mark, and Brent. Whatever happened to their act? Bill Hudson was married to Goldie Hawn and is Kate Hudson's father. They also have a son named Oliver, Kate's older brother. My husband and I would say this to each other and then crack up, for years after!
Geez, a lot of them I thought of when I saw the thread title have been named already: Hank, The Gallant Men, It's About Time, Please Don't Eat the Daisies, Whirlybirds.
How about a couple of others: Riverboat (started in the '50's but ended in the '60's) and Here Come the Brides (ended in 1970 but started in the '60's).
With "Hank", there was the irony that the police would show up to arrest Hank when he dropped in on classes (hmmm, kinda doubt whether this would really happen, but anyway), and he would run away. As he fled, he would invariably pass through the stadium, where he would blast down the track like a rocket sled, hurdle the pole vault bar, and the like, with the track coach running after him, obviously wanting to sign him up. Of course the irony was that Hank would think the coach was one more person chasing him and would keep running away, when all he'd have to do would be to stop and speak to the coach, and he could get into the college on an athletic scholarship. But then there was the double irony that, at least maybe, he wouldn't have been able to perform those athletic feats without the cops chasing him.
I looked up "Whirlybirds", and it turns out it barely qualifies as a '60's show. It started in '57, and the last episode was on Jan. 18, 1960. I'm surprised I remember that show, since I wasn't even five when it went off the air.
Being that Whirlybirds was an action-adventure show that involved helicopter pilots who were always getting called in to handle dangerous, adventurous situations where flying in by chopper would come in handy, it reminds me of two other shows from the early '60's, "Ripcord" and "Everglades". Those had similarities to WB because they were also action shows which each had a gimmick involving some piece of equipment the stars used, which would be helpful in handling the kinds of adventurous encounters they were called in to handle. "Ripcord" was about two skydivers who would be called into situations where it would be useful to have people parachute in. "Everglades was about a park ranger in the Everglades who road around in an airboat, which enabled him to get back into hidden corners of the swamp.

Here's an old but goodie, "Riverboat" with Darrin McGavin and Burt Reynolds. It ran from September 13, 1959 until January 2, 1961. I looked up the time because I couldn't remember if it was only in the 50's but it crossed the decades.
I really liked that show. I had completely forgotten about it.
