Protests over this show miss one important point, kids left network television a long time ago. With the advent of niche channels most young people just don't look to the networks for entertainment anymore. I'm sure there could be exceptions, but I have never known a single child that watches a network show. They are either: watching cable channels targeted to them (Nick, Disney, CN), playing video games, going online, or texting/communicating with their smartphones. In fact, it will be interesting to see how network television evolves in next few decades when trying to reach audiences that were never theirs as children.

I think it is a horrible show with crude jokes and the two of them have such whiny voices I cant stand to listen to them for more then a few seconds.

The only reason I would force myself to watch it was for Kat's bod and she's bowed to Hollywood pressure and lost so much weight her curves have diminished. It makes no sense for every other joke to be about how big her boobs are when they are mere shadows of their former selves.

CBS is the old folks' network, that's why there are complaints.

The entire Monday evening lineup at CBS is in deep trouble with the series finale of 'HIMYM' set to air on March 31st, and '2BG' having not become the ratings smash a la 'The Big Bang Theory' or 'Two And A Half Men' was several years ago.

The so-called 'family hour' has been soundly rejected by millions of us for ages, with the very notable exception of 'The Cosby Show', which was the #1 show on TV for five straight years.

I also agree that kids aren't going to watch most network TV shows in the evening, but have plenty of shows on cable to choose from.

t. 60 MINUTES CBS 12.4 million
23. VEGAS CBS 12.0 million
24. THE FOLLOWING Fox 11.9 million
t. SURVIVOR: PHILIPPINES CBS 11.9 million
t. CSI CBS 11.9 million

So. Out of the top 10 on this list, only #3 could really be considered raunchy IMO and #10 could be considered pretty violent.

When you look at #10-20, I would call #12 raunchy, #17 kinda sorta sometimes raunchy and #18 fairly violent.

It doesn't look like raunch is that popular in terms of total viewers. Now look at the 18-49 demographic that advertisers chase:

1 NBC NBC NFL SUNDAY NT FOOTBALL 8.2 10333
2 CBS Big Bang Theory 6.2 7836
3 NBC NBC NFL SUNDAY NT PRE-KICK 5.8 7341
4 NBC VOICE 5.1 6502
5 ABC Modern Family 4.9 6190
6 NBC VOICE-TUE 4.7 5904

9 FOX American Idol-THU 4.3 5427
10 FOX FOLLOWING 4.3 5452
11 NBC FOOTBALL NT IN AMERICA 3 4.2 5264
12 CBS Two and a Half Men 4.1 5206
13 ABC Grey’S ANATOMY 4.1 5191
14 NBC REVOLUTION 4 5092
15 CBS NCIS 4 5104
16 CBS 2 Broke Girls 3.7 4731
17 CBS How I Met Your Mother 3.7 4632

23 CBS Person Of Interest 3.4 4349
24 FOX X-FACTOR-THU 3.4 4287
25 CBS Criminal Minds 3.3 4182

This list does not include cable shows like Duck Dynasty and The Walking Dead. I couldn't find one that included cable shows. Still, they routinely beat network shows in the advertiser's preferred demo. Anyway, that list has more "adult" shows on it, but there is still a mix of plenty o' blood and raunch vs no smut n' gory violence any way you look at it.

It is a myth that somehow all there is on TV is "bad morals", and that people ONLY watch those kinds of shows.

The top three dramas on network TV so far this year comprise the Tuesday evening lineup on CBS, and while none of those shows (NCIS/NCIS-LA/Person Of Interest) are suitbale for kids, so what given the multitude of choices for kids on cable & elsewhere?

The above list clearly proves that while there really isn't much for kids in the evening on network TV, they do have options besides TV to occupy them at night.

No, I think it's because CBS is the raunchiest network and that is why there are so many complaints. All the networks have filth, but CBS has to be the worst in my observation.

You seem to be focused on "kids" when I would argue that a lot of these shows aren't fit for anyone, let alone kids. The very fact that enough people find them "entertaining" enough to watch and keep on the air really says a lot about the mentality of our society.

I was referring more to "sitcom" based shows. Even so, just look at your lists. Probably 70% of the shows listed contain either raunchy humor, murder, violence, and other crime.

Not the governments?

It continues to boggle the mind that people who are offended by this stuff forget that they can just change the channel. Parents, who's in charge of the remote in your house?

Then don't watch them. Ther's the Hallmark channel, ABC family, and plenty of networks who have family friendly entertainment. Example, I think Duck Dynasty, Honey Boo Boo, and most other reality shows are stupid, so I choose not to watch them.
