Oh my gosh, this show is crazy weird. I started watching between episode 2 and 3 and can't wait to see how this turns out. It's totally bizarre and what a sad family life Cora had growing up.

I noticed the next time they showed the guy in the animal mask he had some black underlayer so you could see far less of his face. Anyone else notice this?

I'm not convinced anyway, it could just be something the writers are putting in there to confuse. It does look very much like the fancy club has something to do with it. I can't imagine her husband having anything to do with that club. Plus his actions going over to the white house with green trim with a gun where he got the drugs from seems like he's not involved.
