It has been reported that Senator Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) have agreed to bring HR 4851 (the one-month extension) to the floor for a vote tonight.
Debate on HR 4851 will be limited to two hours, allowing only amendments that provide assistance. A final vote will then proceed.
Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK) objected -- but there appears to be sufficient support from both Republicans and Democrats for the bill to be passed by the Senate tonight.

Many statements were made by top Democrats today regarding that reconciliation on the long-term extension is underway, as well as expressing the need to also provide additional weeks of unemployment assistance to American’s in need?

It was an active link until a short time ago -- when the site apparently removed the "Breaking News" post. No explanation for why the post was deleted. Apologies for the inconvenience -- I will update as soon as I learn anything about the situation.
