I haven't read all the posts, but for fish, Brophy's at Ventura Harbor has the same menu as the Santa Barbara location and not always busy like in S.B. Best clam chowder around!

For frozen yogurt my personal favorite is a place called "Swirl" located in the Village at the Park in Camarillo, off the Dawson exit. You add your own toppings and they have lots to chose from. I like the sugar free vanilla with granola and carob chips. I swim laps at the nearby YMCA and sometimes treat myself at Swirl afterwards.

I have been there before. They are pretty good. I have some friends that live in those condos right behind the place!

Himalaya! Nepalese / Indian food - Main St at the Avenue. Outstanding stuff.

Jolly Oyster! Fresh shucked, grill your own oysters - it's a stand at San Buenaventura State Beach.

YUMMMMMMM

Also, Ventura Food Tours - does a walking food tour in downtown, including some behind the scenes stuff with the chefs.

Surely you've tried every single restaurant (including the new ones) and are able to substantiate this claim.

You've got quite the conspiracy case against the foodies on Yelp, Sunset Magazine, VC Star, and others who are providing stellar reviews of the local fare. Hell, you've even got a case against MasterChef finalist Adrien Nieto, Outstanding in the Field (who does 3 tours here annually partnered with the local restaurants), and national TV programs highlighting our county's eateries.
