Default Washington PICTURE THREAD

Welcome to Washington, the Evergreen State. Take a look around to see what Washington has to offer. I'm sure you'll be impressed!

If you have any questions about a particular photo, please ask in separate thread.

Again, a reminder to everybody: all extraneous posts will eventually be deleted. I want to give everybody's extraneous posts on this thread a short time of exposure to be able to request pics and to thank those who've posted pics. Otherwise, we want to try to keep this thread for photos only.

Thanks.

Photo posters:

Post your photos of Washington on this thread.

Ideally, host them elsewhere and use the "image" feature when posting. If you don't have a hosting site, I have a couple excellent free ones anybody can use.

Please post photos only with a brief descripton of where and when they were taken.

Personal photos only please. No copyrighted material.

Again, Photos only. Thanks.

Ask if you have any questions.

Default Plain, Wa - December 2006

These photos were taken at dusk from our cabin. Plain is a very cute, very small town outside of Leavenworth. Great for snowmobiling!

This one is taken from "uptown" (not far from Lawrence & Tyler, map at http://www.ptguide.com/maps/map_updt.html, as opposed to downtown near the waterfront) in Port Townsend, just about noon, last Thanksgiving, looking east-northeast. It was a blustery day, as you might be able to tell from the whitecaps on the water in the distance.

These are from the Port Orchard/Manchester area in 2005. I believe they were all taken in fall and winter.
