F***! We're just getting some cold rain on LI. This sucks, I've been waiting since March 31 for some ******* snow. HOW FRUSTRATING
You and me both, only I've waited just a tiny bit longer.
To be fair, we did get a tiny bit of snow here... there's still a very light coating in some spots (mostly sleet, though). It's not a real snowfall by my standards. I was at least an inch before I call it a real snowfall.

Ah, well, at least I'm not alone in my frustration.
Here's a perfect look.. First note.... many areas of CT changed to rain/sleet even though below freezing at 850mb on right image...
Now look at the left image which is 10,000 foot level. As the storm nears it's pushing the warmer air and that level has warmed above freezing there. You can see it well with the light green color 5-10C. Arrows showing the winds at 10,000 feet. Ugh!
South Jersey had no real chance except now as the colder air moves in there might be some backside precip.
We (in Brooklyn) got an hour or two of snow, little sticking. Some sleet before that. Rain now. Early afternoon there was a layer of ice on windshields, hopefully it melted.

I see a nice backside band approaching. If it holds...yes.
