I find this odd. 108 yesterday! My a/c didn't seem to have trouble during the day with that, it was way after the sun went down that it seemed to stay on more. I guess humidity. It became like a sauna in the evening.

Dew points and Humididty effect A/C the most. My A/C makes 15 gals of water a day during my summers in FL.
Central A/C here.. keep it pretty consistent at 75 day and night, although we bump to 74 if needed.
Okay, I have to ask... Do you and others who have posted with similar numbers, really, truly feel a big difference between 74F and 75F? I'm trying to wrap my head around that. Maybe it's a psychological effect? (Look, it's under 75!)
We don't use heat or a/c, just go with the flow (and use fans if necessary), so I'm already mind-boggled that so many people keep their houses at such precise temperatures. It's just so hard to believe that anyone could walk into a house and say, "Hmm, it's 75 in here--too hot. Let me set that down to 74. Ahh, that's perfect!"
(For Celsius folks, 74/75F is equivalent to 23.3/23.8C).
It usually doesn’t get cold or hot enough here to use aircon or heat so no thermostat settings. This is coastal zone. A few miles inland summer temps can go into the 90’s or higher. In the winter into the high 30’s.

IDK about HUGE, but it's the difference between comfortable and a little uncomfortable.
