I'd return next day with two week's notice and that's all they'd get. If I was to concern myself with good training for a replacement then I'd be there for months - and I wouldn't do that even if I didn't win the lottery.
And I agree 110% with poster #9. No way in Hell would I post it in social media!

I might leave a year or two earlier, but I would probably keep working until my full retirement eligibility. I like my job and the daily challenges it brings. It would be fun to have a few million in the bank and keep coming to work while none of my co-workers or superiors know anything about it. Perhaps I would move to one of the islands and buy a boat to commute in. I would definitely start using all of my 5 weeks vacation, and spend more money while on them.
Given that my contract specifies 120 days notice and I don't want to waste my time and money by being sued, I'd give the notice.
Plus it would screw a lot of innocent people to just disappear.
I'd first tell a co-worker (Sibling) and we'd leave and most assuredly the people we'd leave would be talking about us 5 years from that day....Yes, it would be MEMORABLE and fun.
I work for my parents, and I don't think they could run the business without me at this point, as I've run the office for their 3 businesses for the last 15 years. So I could only, in good conscience retire, if I got enough for them to retire also. Anything less would just go into a fund so that when they finally retire, I can do so as well, as I have no intention of continuing the business without them.
My dream on that would be to leave professionally, good transition for the new guy, because ....
.... I would come back the next day as a wealthy customer and dangle a couple million in front of management. If I won the big one, it would be worth a couple million of it just to make them dance to my tune for a while.
I would give two weeks notice the day the check cleared.
