And again these are jobs with no skills, they should not be paying much so this Amazon Flex does not appear to be such a bad deal if you ask me.
$11 also isn't minimum wage. Most of the grocery stores and retail are paying less here, but Chick-Fil-A hires a lot of kids that look like they're in high school or just out of it. $11/hr for a kid putting themselves through school is not that bad in this area.

There are all sorts of jobs with local manufacturers right now. Yes, they are mostly running through staffing agencies as to temp to perm. No, they likely don't have any benefits. Yes, they often start around $15/hr. The challenge around here is finding people that can pass a drug test and will show up to work.

Yes, here's a job that's not low skilled, a manager for Chic-Fil-A, in Tennessee. The team members get $15 an hour, but a manager with two years management experience only gets $12-$16?

Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of the restaurant. The manager is a member of the senior leadership team and reports to the General Manager or Assistant General Manager.
The manager will be instrumental in helping us fulfill our Purpose which is to be a faithful steward of all God has entrusted us, and to have a positive influence on everyone we come in contact with.
Other key responsibilities include:
- leading the shift
- encouraging and developing team members
- ensuring we exceed our guests’ expectations
- helping the store achieve key goals
We offer health benefits, 401k, vacation, and professional development.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $12.00 to $16.00 /hour
Experience:
Leadership: 2 years (Preferred)
Shifts:

I'm going off the in-store signage I've seen.

If $15.00 an hour isn't enough to live on, how is $8 not worse?

BTW, when there have been threads on here about raising min wage to $15, the vast majority of posters are dead set against it.
Ok if you're saying that people are unfairly picking on Amazon for paying $15 because a lot of places are paying significantly less but there doesn't seem to be as much complaining about them, and if you're also saying that people are blaming Amazon for the low wages other companies pay, then right, that makes no sense.
