Seems like people from tropical areas tend to have larger eyes.
And people who adapted to a cold and long winter tend to have almond-shaped eyes. I find such traits are quite common among the Nordics specifically than the others.

It s true..in cold climates Is better if you have small and almond shaped eyes to protect them from cold winds.
The most adapted people to cold are infact eskimos.
While africans have the biggest eyes on earth
No they don't for the most part. Only SOME of them do.
Big eyes however are quite prominent feature among Persians - most likely among those that are not heavily mixed with Arabs.
Slavs too can be blessed with big eyes. (Well, some of them. )
But what if there is no frequent cold winds during winter?
I've heard that strong/cold winds during winter is a prominent feature in Asia (Central Asia at least.)
But not in Russia proper. It's cold during winters, but calm; strong winds are very rare, and the air is dry.
