Most people in the U.S. are white. In fact two-thirds of the U.S. is white, and the U.S. was 80%+ white only 20 years ago. And many nonwhite Hispanics are basically white in appearance.
So why would it be surprising that most people on American TV are white? Wouldn't it be very odd if this weren't the case?
The % of Saxon is larger in Suffolk than say Lancashire or Devon, but at best 50\50 would be in certain parts of Essex. In Cumbria Saxon blood would be nearer 1-2%. Mind you after 1,400 years of mingling there are no clear pointers due to large movements of Irish, Scots , English and Welsh between countries, counties and towns. It is not until the movement of Poles, Latvians Into Britain the last 5 years that the locals look and appear more alike
Try parts of Midwest. That's where a lot of the Germans ended up.

The Census is imperfect, but it should be noted that Hispanic isn't a race as far as the government is concerned. The census will ask Hispanic people to identify their race, so we end up with the non-Hispanic white population and the greater white population that includes some Hispanic people.
What is interesting though is that the Census is including people from the MENA region in that non-Hispanic white category though. There isn't a subcategory like there is for Hispanic people.

Devon has also slightly more Anglo-Saxon genes than Cornwall. In fact, according to the People Of the British Isles Project released studies in 2015!
Blue eyes are also the most common eye colour in the British Isles! (ScotlandsDNA project 2014)

Can you not get it through your head Britain is NOT just an island full of Anglo Saxons!!! Anglo Saxons were ONE group of HUNDREDS of different peoples and tribes and nationalities who have settled in the UK over THOUSANDS of years! Britons are made up from hundreds of different DNA's from dozens of different types of people from EVERY type of ethnicity on the planet! You are NOT an American 'Anglo Saxon'! I am thinking of starting a thread titled 'Why do so many Americans and people from the 'mid-west' especially believe the UK is only Anglo-Saxon!!!

It has nothing to do with what Americans or I believe, rather what scientific proof is showing, The Anglo-Saxons made the second greatest genetic impact in the genome/genetic make-up of (White) Britons, so I wouldn't say there were just "one group of the hundreds". Let's cut the nonsense and tell it like it is. Other groups such as Romans, Normans made very little or insignificant impact genetically.
