Posted 10-06-2016 at 03:22 AM by geekigurl

I see a lot of people in the political section saying that is X candidate wins, we're doomed. That tells me they have no hope. At all. And that saddens me, because I was there once. I know how empty and terrifying it is to live without hope. If I could, I'd encourage them to find hope in something greater than a politician or political ideology, for me it's God; it may be something else for someone else. I know that whoever is in office, we'll be ok. Because I have hope. Some people mock hope with...

Need serious advice. Family considering moving to Seattle from Chicago IL area.

Posted 10-05-2016 at 07:22 PM by SakuraZ69

Also, the only thing making me rethink this move, is all the rude people ive encountered on this forum.( EDIT. Not just my posting, but other postings i have managed to find about other families wanting to relocate to seattle area. I posted this same thread, to multiple sites. The answers have been alarmingly rude. Maybe its my opinion on rude. Im from the midwest. Everyone here, in my opinion, is rude. Posted 10-05-2016 at 02:18 PM by Albert Finch (How Do I Advance My Spiritual Life?)

James 4:5 - "Surely, you don't think scripture is wrong when it says: the Spirit which He sent to live in us wants us for Himself alone?"

Observation:

The Holy Spirit within me conflicts with fleshly desire, urging me into service for Him. It still requires my submission and my action.

Being led the the Holy Spirit is an ongoing God encounter. A religious spirit is a demonic presence that works to get us to substitute being led...

Posted 10-04-2016 at 11:38 AM by snowduck

Romans 12:20 - "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head. - Here is yet another example of the Bible telling us something completely opposite of what the world does. The world tells us to give our enemies as much trouble as possible. But here comes the apostle Paul in the book of Romans telling us to be nice to our enemies. Paul probably read this scripture in Proverbs 25:22 - (In doing this, you...

Posted 10-04-2016 at 10:38 AM by case44 (Welcome To Case's Column)

The big event that band enthusiasts (including this writer) have eagerly anticipated finally takes place at Ford Center At The Star this very evening.

The first annual Frisco ISD Marching Band Showcase; that's what is happening. All nine marching bands from Frisco Independent School District will...
