Lessons about the Care (and Neglect) of Dogs' Needs

Posted 09-02-2009 at 06:46 AM by LookinForMayberry

Tomorrow morning I drive south to pick up my new pup, Bigun, from Mrs1885. I am excited to meet her almost as much as to finally meet my Bigun. She's my Saint of the abandoned dogs.

Waiting on God and some observations on faith...

Posted 09-01-2009 at 02:02 PM by carlos123 (My Daily Life and Thoughts while in San Diego)

I wanted to take a minute, while waiting for the timetable of rides and meetings to begin today that may ultimately result in my moving into a nice home, to express some things about faith in God that might be of encouragement to others of my brothers and sisters in Christ who might be facing their own impossible circumstances.

I have done all that I can do and now, as I sit here listening to worship music, it is truly in God's hands as to what the final outcome of all this will be....

Rates Continue to Hold Near Two Month Lows

Posted 09-01-2009 at 08:40 AM by VictorBurek

Early morning weakness yesterday with mortgage backed securities at the same time that lenders issue rate sheets led to several lenders being somewhat conservative with their morning pricing. As the day progressed, weakness in stocks resulted in the flow of money finding its way into the fixed income sector in spite of better than expected economic data. Seven Practices for Enlightenment

Posted 09-01-2009 at 05:16 AM by LookinForMayberry

These are not mine, though I am making them mine by distilling them down to words I can work with in my daily life. They don't have a particular order, because they are each so integral to the others that no one is supreme.

Seek to know the Absolute; Master the self; Be Humble, Patient, and Authentic. Meditate. Be Loving and Kind.

Each day I learn that I know less, and the path seems to lengthen beyond my means -- to be all the more compelling.
