David and Goliath To Have Long Awaited Rematch

Posted 09-03-2009 at 03:02 PM by GCSTroop

In what’s been brewing for several millennia and hundreds of retaliatory verbal sparring matches, individual promoters for David and Goliath have finally announced a rematch. Fight enthusiasts are overjoyed to hear of the news and much commercial promoting is expected to ensue over the course of the next few months. There are even widespread rumors the match will consist of a “Deathcage-style” ring.

Promoters of the defending champion, King David, have erected signs and billboards...

Rates Hold Steady Waiting On NonFarm Payrolls

Posted 09-03-2009 at 08:21 AM by VictorBurek

Mortgage backed securities went on a very nice rally yesterday leading to many lenders repricing for the better. The rally led many to believe that rates would make a move lower as MBS approached price levels not seen in quite a while. However, late in the day MBS sold off giving back much of the gains enjoyed earlier in the day. All in all, MBS did post modest gains at the close of the day. black bears

Posted 09-03-2009 at 05:58 AM by Mtnchk44

We have many black bear families that "visit" our home on a regular basis. I sometimes throw out scraps and left-overs for them. It keeps them out of the trash. I saw a show the other day about a guy that was feeding the bears and might be doing some time for it. Does anyone know if there are any laws against it in North Carolina?

Six More Hours

Posted 09-03-2009 at 04:26 AM by LookinForMayberry

MRS1885 had a tangle of transport problems that she's surmounted, and in the end it turns out that she will actually be driving right through the town where we camped. Bottom line: my drive is cut to maybe 20 minutes.

Unfortunately, it sounds like she's having to drive 40 pups all the way from TN to Chicago. What that woman will do is a wonder. If each of us gave a tenth of her willingness to help an unfortunate animal, there would be no need for shelters. God Bless Mrs1885.
