Music World Loses An Artist Who I Once Idolized

I drifted into this group's music because a song played on an album-oriented rock station. And it helps, to a degree, when you have your high school classmates listening to it.

Over a period of time, I'd hear different songs from the group Rush, a Canadian-based power rock band. Three decades ago, they were part of the mainstream of album rock, and their songs would later turn up in the classic rock format that you can still hear in a number of markets throughout...

I No Longer Save Old Magazines

My brother-in-law used to subscribe to The Civil War Times magazine and he would give me issues after he read them.
I would read them in bed at night to help me sleep and then toss them under the bed. A few years later I found a couple of bundles of magazines about the wild west in a paper recycling dumpster and brought them home.
I kept the stacks near my bed and after reading each one would toss them under the bed as well.
