Thanks for the offer.

One of my coworkers hunts in some areas of the SE every once in a while. He has asked me a couple of times to go with him, but I haven't been able to go.

I thought you lived in Fairbanks?

I was always told God wouldn't give you anything you couldn't handle.

Well, when Uncle Ray says he lives somewhere and then later says he doesn't, I can't handle that.

If I go missing, its because I jumped out a basement window.

I know, I've seen that, but you've also said numerous times you moved to/have lived in, Fairbanks for the last, what, 70 or 80 years, ever since you retired from the military.

If you can't believe Uncle Ray, just who and to hell can you believe?

For the most part I think the F&G regs in Alaska are pretty straight forward. My one beef with them is with moose hunting and the ID of a legal moose. To see the number of brow tines is Ok, but to say the rack has to be 48, 52 or whatever inches across. I've found a numerous amount of dead moose where someone shot an undersized moose and just left it to rot because the spread wasn't legal. Unless you run up to a moose with a tape measure, that is just a law made for failure!

I like Nugent's enthusiasm for the outdoors, but he knows a strike with a bow/arrow is the same with a bullet, and a wounded animal is just that, and he should have tracked it down as it was his "kill", even if it got away and died later... Or mauled someone because it was wounded.

He just flat out screwed up. But I'm also not a hunter for just the sport either, filling a freezer with food for the winter is more my view than having a trophy mount in the den. But that has been the norm for most Alaskans for centuries, hunt for food.

I do love hunting season and just enjoy the fall. The bugs are gone, leaves changing colors and crisp cold mornings with the birds in full migration! So I will just enjoy the time tending the camp fire, pretending to hunt nowdays and drinking coffee and watching the show!

You can read the bad parts (of Ted's tirade) here Enraged Ted Nugent threatens to ‘f*ck’ female CBS producer | The Raw Story

I'll tell ya, those right-wing fanatics have little to no respect for women.
