Don't be coy, I was talking about Christianity which is basically the New Testament. The OT is Jewish. There was a significant evolution for violence to non-violence. Do not play the naive on purpose (popularized by Petunia). The non-violence of Christianity was one of the reasons it became so popular, it was different.
Oh, so you're telling me that christians (including catholics) no longer believe in the OT? The last few times I was at a catholic church there were still just as many readings from the OT as ever. I don't think I've ever seen a worse example of cherry picking than this post of yours.
You are recycling old phrases. Those countries would still be poor if never colonized. The Western nations are full of immigrants form the former colonies. Many were granted that privilege and the last thing these people want to do is to go back home. Why do you think Muslim prefer cultures based on Judeo-Christian values? Why was that Muslim family attending your Western school Virginia? Why would a Muslim want to live in a majority Christian nation? Think about it. Christian nations tend to be more inclusive and accept diversity.
Oh, so basically enslaving populations was an act of kindness. Now I can see why so many christians supported actual slavery. It was their gift to mankind.
Yes and they bring their religion with them and the US constitution protects their freedom to practice it. They did not leave their religion behind and become atheist. Christianity was spread by violence and crusades. Other religions mind their own business.
Finally the admission: "Christianity was spread by violence and crusades."
Orson Scott Card wrote an excellent book about this topic. It is called "Speaker for the dead". The speaker researches the deceased individual and tells the "true" story of their life, good and bad. Great read.
And of course, I don't expect people at a funeral to bring up the bad things of the deceased. Better in some cases to just not have eulogies.
Why do the migrants think majority Christian nations are receptive to other religions?
I don't think very many immigrants care if the target country is majority Christian. They are looking for economic opportunities. There are economic opportunities in industrial countries that do no exist in the places they are coming from.
Why do the migrants think majority Christian nations are receptive to other religions?
india was a secular region before colonization and it still is and has always been. stop the BS. many immigrants are arriving from other majority christian nations such as from ireland, italy, mexico and rest of south america. why are they fleeing christianity?
Lol. We should have a thread “Guess the poster’s gender.” I am yet to be surprised by what gender any poster is. Maybe one or two but mostly you can tell.
Typically I am not surprised, but I sure was surprised to learn you were not a male after all this time thinking you were...
