lol...backwards Georgia strikes again. Can we actually get to vote on things that affect the city like this and Marta without letting these people decide for us?

I know right. Its ok to have dozens of strip clubs but a casino will ruin the image of Georgia lol. I wish Atlanta could form its on state because our relationship with Georgia isnt working out that good

Atlanta should just form its own state. Hope is in trouble and this could have provided free education for plenty of Georgia students.

The gambling thing is bad enough, but our legislator still doesn't allow parents of sick kids to grow or buy cannibas oil in GA. You can use it, but you just can't get it here. So ****ing dumb.

Not nearly as disappointed as the MARTA funding bill, but I would still love the right to vote on freedoms than some asshats in the legislature making that decision for me.

So is this the new thing now. Introduce something but turned toward trickery at the last minute so it can't be voted on. This called a wizard or witch in my book. Trickery, deception, and manipulation is witchcraft to the core.

but I though free college was bad? Oh wait only if it hurts poor Wall Street. If you care about the children go teach then. It aint easy btw Ill tell you. I agree with you on the medicinal bill though.

You want casinos then make a zone for them in ATL. Leave south Ga out of it and then it's all good.

But they know what's best for you. Because they prayed about it or something.

The hope scholarship is incredible popular... and you know how it's funded right? I don't see how the lottery is much different from a black jack table. Since you brought up Wall Street, I don't see how the stock market is much different from a blackjack table.

I'd gladly take those cosinos. I'd probably never use them, but I think they'd make our city (and thus our state) more attractive. And oh yeah, it'd help raise billions for education.

Night and day difference.

In Vegas, in the end, the house always wins.

On Wall Street, they may be betting over a house that doesn't even exist.

Since you are an education voter, you are voting Sanders? I am. I think I'd prefer having the Donald Trumps of the country fund our education (instead of paying no taxes or actually taking $ from the govt) versus littering our state with casinos. I am honestly surprised. Casinos. I mean over and over and over the past decades we've seen them ruin cities. The only place it really worked is Vegas because the casinos are so huge, they can fund security etc adequately and fund the city. Even then, I don't want to live in a Vegas. But we'd end up more like Atlantic City more likely. Savannah would be the brunt of the downfall, I fear.
