ah........ There's other stuff too. I'm sure of it.
Reality? Most of this stuff will smell you coming a mile off, and want nothing to do with you. You probably won't run into most of this stuff. If you're somewhere where they are present.......pay attention. lol
I know you're snakes and spiders will probably kill someone faster than these will though. But you have such better animals to choose from that will kill you.

I'm living in Canada right now ...
Location: Canada (Australia too isolated)
Climate: Australia (Worse thing about Canada for me ...)
Quality of life: Both (Australia has way higher cost of living but the climate is better to enjoy free outdoor activities ...).
Crime: Canada
Stores/Shopping: Canada
School/College: Canada
Entertainment/Things to do: Canada (US city trips ...)
Diversity: Canada
Economy: Canada (and access to the huge US job market ...)
Culture: Canada
Food:Canada
History:Both
Overall beauty:Australia (Landscapes and weather)
Overall, I would prefer to live in Canada and travel in the US (for weather and landscapes), Australia is great for vacations but would be boring to live ...
Here, I can just take my car for a weekend in New York City or other big Canadian/US cities or take a 2-3 hours flight for a weekend in Miami, Vegas, ... so many places to explore
for two hundred years , Canada was a good deal richer than Australia but since around the late nineties , australias economy has had pheonomanol growth , im pretty sure Australia is now wealthier than Canada , Canada will always be strong due to its location beside the usa but Australia is a country in my view which has an incredibly century ahead of it , it is playing a big role in the china story
both are great countrys in my mind , significantly superior to my own on most levels ( that's not to say I dislike my own i might add )
Canada. I like the cold and the standard 4 seasons. Closer to Europe and the United States.
Australia is like the American Southwest. Only less interesting. And more expensive.
Ah yes the four seasons, Winter, Srping, Summer and Autumn. However in the nations capital it is two seasons, Winter and Construction.
Having spent 6 months in Australia, I think it is a great place to live. The main drawback is that it is far away from the rest of the world and Canada would be closer to my family and easier to travel to other places. (The problem with Canada is mainly too cold especially in the winter.)

Don't forget sharks

As Mag has shown with his pictures, Canada has big carnivorous and herbivorous animals that are just as dangerous as deadly spiders and snakes. The carnivores will eat you and the herbivores will gore you and trample you into a steaming pile of bloody mush.
SHARKS !!! Canada (and USA) also has extremely aggressive and dangerous sharks called bull sharks, they come from the sea and can adapt for long periods of time in fresh water. They go up rivers and into lakes and there have been several documented bull shark attacks on people in both Canada and USA.

We don't hear a lot about Canada in Australia so your perception Australia has significantly outperformed Canada in recent times at least at a GDP level is understandable.
Truth is Canada has also had extremely good economic growth in the last few decades also fueled by high immigration and a resource boom (sound familiar).
Unfortunately GDP (including per capita & even PPP) and its relation to the wealth of the average(actually Mean) citizen has become largely meaningless due to wealth distribution, taxes and true cost of living etc. For example the middle class in the US is clearly doing a lot worse than 20 years ago, however GDP has moved along quite nicely.

I agree with you 100% on that. Also, measures like PPP GDP can't truly be objectively measured, so each authority sees it differently to a greater or lesser extent.
And GDP is fine as an economic measure, as long as people don't read more into it that it really means. For standard of living or quality of life, I'd only really look at measures with some verifiable objective reality to them: average lifespan, house sizes, access to medical care as examples.

OMG we agree on something! , I would also agree with those measures among others.
Can I ask what the obsession on these boards is with comparing Australia and Canada in these pathetic polls? If I'm going to take part, then here goes
