Err...CD seems to be all about these comparisons. As well as the plethora of bizarre threads like "which Asian people have the most slanty eyes?" and "who are the most white Europeans?". It's all very strange most of the time.

Agreed. I'm kind of sick of seeing them pitted against one another all the time here, because they are both as incredible as one another, but for different reasons. Geographically and aesthetically speaking, Canada is more like New Zealand than Australia.

Canada is my more favourite as people in Canada are more familiar and good.

Location: Canada
Climate: Canada (I have to have 4 seasons with snow)
Quality of life: Probably a tie
Crime: Canada (I've heard some issues with immigrants in Australia - Canadian immigrants are usually very safe)
Stores/Shopping: Canada
School/College: Australia (has more in the top 100, though both have good schools)
Entertainment/Things to do: Canada (larger variety of cities, and much closer to the EU/US)
Diversity: Canada
Economy: They both have strong economies, but the range of jobs in Canada is probably higher
Culture: Canada
Food: Canada (Toronto is one of the best foodie destinations in the world, and Vancouver for Asian food)
History: Both suck equally
Overall beauty: Canada (hard to beat Vancouver/BC, and Banff)

Both great countries, but if I had to choose, Canada would win, hands down.

Four seasons? Most of Canada doesn't get a real summer.

LOL, And I heard that all Canadians over 5 are issued with a wooden club to use against poor helpless harp seal pups who wander into town....
