Anyone who thinks we have free market with a few corporations ruling the world is in cloud cuckoo land. Not to mention naïve. Do you want to buy a bridge?

I agree they are more efficient, but let's not act like electric cars are all flowers, sunshine and rainbows.

Only 25% of US electricity is produced from petroleum, and 22% from coal, so this is a silly argument. Even when calculated by the EPA electric cars get over 100 mpg, so they still are an improvement over ICE.

They do not poison the air where millions of lungs are. I find it strange that no one ever responds to that. I assume many here live in country areas.

This was obviously issued by those with a vested interest in oil. Like the oil lobby. How many millions/billions do they spend to lobby Congress?

I'm on a 100% renewable solar + wind plan so this silly propaganda picture has no meaning to me.

And that's not because I want to be green and save the planet (though that's a nice side effect). I don't want to fund the Middle East with my money (even if indirectly). You gas guzzlers finance terrorist backwards cultures. I give my money to US companies that supply domestic green energy.

There was a bad wreck 2 blocks from my house a while ago.....A Prius got rear ended by some drunk illegal alien driving a stolen F150....The Prius was almost cut in two and the Prius occupants were life flighted out......I remember, it took almost 2 days to clear the Prius wreckage by the HAZMAT teams because of the battery contaminents all over the intersection.....

And a major freeway bridge collapsed in Oakland, CA when a truck carrying gasoline blew up. Schitt happens, so what's your point?

If people believe solar is the wave of the future why did this company go bk. So much for comments about solar the wave of the future.

The Obama administration defended a loan of over $500 million to a Silicon Valley-based solar panel company that recently went bankrupt despite warnings.
