I use to remove and install windshields at a manufacturing plant. Its hot out,the windshield butyl tape is soft. Just sit between the front seats, feet up at top of the windshield and push. The top will push out, continue and it will fall forward. trim and all in an emergency like this. I did this hundreds of times by myself.

" four ". Sometimes you have to think outside the box, if your life depends on it.

Thinking outside of the box wasn't needed here as there were four or "four" manual opinions to get out of the vehicle so kicking or pushing the windshield out

Does the horn work when a 2007 is off? Maybe this guy wasn't trying to get noticed or out of the car...

If the battery cable had gotten disconnected then the horn would not work either.
