The details of the i-Pace EV. Even a small heat pump to keep the batteries between 20-25C to give greater range. A cutaway of the car with the designer.

The UK depends on the USA for survival? In your dreams. I just gave a youtube on an EV SUV. If you want ugly pickups then EVs can give you that. You will be driving an EV for sure.

No one will sell petrol as there will not be a demand. EVs are service free. All you need do is change the wiper blades and top up the washer bottle.

That state has a population of 1 million. Tiny. When the rest of the world goes EV so will those in the boonies.

What about the power grid? Seems like demand during hot weather taxes the system in many areas. Bitcoin mining has maxed out the power grid in parts of central Washington State. Seems like with a big ramp up in EV would be too much for the power grid.

"Ford plans to invest $5 billion in EVs by 2022 and introduce at least 13 electrified models worldwide in the next five years and aims to make its first stand-alone EV in Europe in 2020."

"first stand-alone EV in Europe in 2020." 2 years away. The EV charge is gaining momentum.

Read back on my posts about grid suitability. No problems in that area.

I've just been doing some back of the envelope calculations.

On one of our major trips, actually two of them in the same direction but different end points, it's 330 miles. Which means that with an EV, assuming optimal power use, we'd have to stop 30 minutes from our destination for a minimum 30 minutes to recharge the vehicle. Yet, with any of our ICE vehicles including my relative gas hog F150 there's fuel to spare when we get to both places. Enough so that we do some running around and don't have to refill until we're ready to come home, where we arrive and have enough gas that when we get there we don't have to get more for a few days. And, on that return trip, we'd again have to stop 30 minutes from home to recharge for at least another 30 minutes with that EV.

Many US vehicles will go 400 or even 500 miles on a tank of gas. Some will be more. The Forester will go just over 400 (30MPG X 14 gallons. That's day to mileage, trips typically add another 4MPG.) while the F150 will go just under 600 (20MPG X 28 gallons. Again that's day to day. A trip will see a MPG of 23.8.).
